| Read the article people. This is just to minors, though the post WAS worded poorly. I have no issue with prohibition of sales of certain material to minors. We've been doing it for decades. I DO think it should apply to all forms of media if they are going to do this though... films included. |

It's sad that people still view this nonsense along political lines. C'mon guys - democrats, republicans, independents - they are all elitist, arrogant, hypocritical, power hungry morons who care nothing for the Constitution.
The real enemy here is not politicians, but rampant and out-of-control politically correctness brought about by a nation of pussies who think the worst crime in the world is to hurt someone's feelings. |

Sure they have. Including this on. The only Wright in the NY state assembly is Keith L.T. Wright. Who is a democrat. You missed my sarcasm. Historically, its the Democrats who propose these types of laws. It's their way of trying to appeal to the older crowd. |

| Traditionally, dems were the "we'll take your rights away to protect you" bunch.. the republicans were the "less government infringement" group... until about 8 years ago. Then the republicans saw the joy in infringement. Now they're both as bad, and they'll pander to this "to save the children." |

Oh yes, because we know that Democrats haven't ever proposed laws against video games... Sure they have. Including this on. The only Wright in the NY state assembly is Keith L.T. Wright. Who is a democrat. |

Ah yes, it's just the beginning of the kind of bullshit our new socialist dictator has in store for us. Soon they'll add "unless it hurts someone's delicate feelings" to the first amendment, right after they completely destroy the second amendment.
Good times. |

Is this "get in all the stupid laws before Obama gets into power" season? Never underestimate the power of legislatures to make dumber laws.
That said, it's good to see the state of New York is able to create new costs to their agencies even though the 100+ new taxes proposed won't even cover their projected deficit.

| LOL, if you go into most public school in NYC you will be hit with beprofanity, racist stereotypes and derogatory languagemore than in any video game ever created. How about doing something about that? Oh yea even the police guards around many schools are afraid to say or do anything to kids. |

| If the summary is correct, than this is merely banning the sale of such games to minors. I don't really have a problem with that, but I'm not sure the government should be parenting children. |

How about we change the bill to:
Prohibits the sale to minors of certain rated video games and motion pictures containing a rating that reflects content of various degrees of profanity, racist stereotypes or derogatory language, and/or actions toward a specific group of persons that'll change their mind pretty quick. No more Eddie Murphy family movies kids! |
