EGM was crap. The writing was geared toward 8-year-olds with severe head trauma while the reviews and articles were never more than cursory examinations of the subjects of said reviews and articles. Then they added that asinine blu-ray review section, which looked an awful lot like copied and pasted press releases.
The gaming industry didn't let EGM die, Ziff Davis killed it slowly. |

| I always thought egm was the best of the bunch on the magazine rack. It seems quite organized and rational compared to Play and the various system specific rags. I for one am sorry its going....although I never bought one... |

| They can spin it any way they want. Why anyone would pay $5-10 for a gaming rag that contains month-old news is beyond me. Sure, they might score an exclusive or two per issue, but it's nothing I won't see/read in a week or two anyway. |
