A lot of good games on that list. My thoughts exactly. Got several of them installed at the moment, and am planning on reinstalling Homeworld and Ground Control sometime within the next few months (got the free Ground Control installer sitting on a HD ready to go). Wasn't planning on playing them multiplayer, but it was nice to know it was an option. Especially considering Homeworld came out over 9 years ago!

For what it's worth, Sierra did release some fairly cheap collections of many of the Quest games (at least SQ, KQ, PQ as well as LSL..... not sure if they did QFG collections though). They weren't complete though...... i.e. the Space Quest Collection is only 1-5, doesn't include 6, and also doesn't include the VGA remake of SQ1). For what it's worth, they seemed to essentially just be a DOSbox interface for playing the old games anyway, so it's not something you can't figure out yourself if you happen to still have the old Sierra games and DOSbox. But otherwise, not bad. I got most of those for under $20 for each set, so yeah, it was a deal (though I think mine had the VGA SQ1 and not the EGA, but I could be wrong, it's been awhile).
But the Quest for Glory series was MIA from those reissues, at least here in the US.
But yeah, put em on GOG for $5 each and make a killing... |

Tribes 2 & Caesar IV |

Tribes 2... That sucks... I still log in once in a while for some quick pickup game action. The game is still great. The T2 community at one time had the manpower to do something about this, but I doubt it can/will happen now. I guess I should log in and play a few more times before November comes and we can't play it anymore....
Caesar IV was so full of snore-sauce that I still feel cheated that I paid $10 for it in the bargain bin. Ceasar III was waaay better. No loss here...

We requested the source code a few months back but were told by Sierra/VU that they couldn't be bothered to look for it in their archive. Are you serious? Is that genuinely what they said?
If so, then that is just jaw-dropping.
If they seriously have no issues with people having the source code, but they can't be bothered finding it... My god. These people have no heart (and no love of games).

I agree, would be nice to see them on GOG, perhaps with more effort put into making them easy to run, and a more complete collection.

It would be nice to see them release the games for free (like what's been happening lately with Midway). I think they've released Ground Control already, and I would love to have AvP2 and the Homeworld games...

A lot of those games could be remade to today's graphic/UI standards Mmm... fully 3D Arcanum would be sweet. That game's world is begging for a good 3D remake. Fully voice-acted, too. I'd buy it.

Quboid: Counter argument for that would be that they are doing a big EOL and doing it retroactively and saying anything made before a certain date is EOL. Not saying thats the case, just saying it COULD be.
Also arcanum is a RPG kinda game like fallout or baldurs gate kinda thing.

This is a real shame. A small team of people had started work on upgrading Swat 3 and now it seems the work was for nothing.
We requested the source code a few months back but were told by Sierra/VU that they couldn't be bothered to look for it in their archive.
The fans could fix the game and run our own servers but we were never given the opportunity.
