Darned right, what you *should* do is send in a cheque with no signature and tell them you'll be sending a patch to fix that 'real soon now'.
You won't get the game, but they *might* get the message.

I'll have to remind them that when I pull the ole "Why buy it now when I can download it and pay for it later?"

Ahh, it's the old "I don't like it, so I'll get it for free" argument.

There's something a little screwed up on this site when the most popular threads are always either DRM hating threads or piracy threads, and half the people posting are pirates. I really wish every gaming site would ban dumbasses like you when you basically admit to stealing food from their table.

nin how exactly are they screwing over Gamestop? Wal-Mart doesn't take trade in's but Gamestop would love to get this to resell because they didn't have to put out the initial money to stock it's own shelf's.

That's true, but I was thinking more along the lines of an exclusive that they can't have. Something I'm sure Lamestop would love to do with every publisher...

OMG, that guy is so dumb. Prime example of your average CEO. lol

The only change in tv that has happened over the past 30 years is digital high def. That's it! So in reality, that wasn't a very big upgrade. But when you look at video games, the technology changes so rapidly, you need new hardware every few years. Sheesh, I haven't changed my cable box in over 5 years and I still see no need to change it. Imagine having to buy (or rent) a new cable box because you want to play the latest game that requires the newer hardware. Doh!

Does this guy have any brains at all?

Hmm...whats' to keep people from renting the game and paying the transfer fee to move the songs? Does this work with RB 1+2?

It sounds like (if you're talking about the AC/DC) that each disc will contain a unique code in the box, that you plug in and I'm guessing in turn will download the tracks for you?

And the tracks are supposed to work w/ RB1 + 2...

Ahh yes... the good ole "why delay an unfinished game when you can patch it later?"

I'll have to remind them that when I pull the ole "Why buy it now when I can download it and pay for it later?"

still bitter about the XM deal

Same here. I liked Fungus53.

I wrote to Lou - who usually writes back same day - never heard from him. I know he took over the Metallica station - but I can't imagine he is happy about it.

F ACDC in the A

I like em, but $40 seems high for 18 tracks. And it's not like you can pick and choose.

And I'd much rather have studio tracks, and not live tracks...

So, based on all of that, I'm not overly excited.

And does anyone else see the irony in Morality Wal-Mart buddy-ing up to the guys who wrote "Highway to Hell"?

"Money Talks" indeed...

And no mention of EA...is MTV publishing on their own?

I found it quite interesting the AC/DC aren't on iTunes, which makes a deal like this all the more important. I wish them success with this endeavour, though can't say I'm a big fan of Wal-Mart.

Wal-Mart Signs a Deal with MTV on ‘Rock Band’ Video Game. Rock Band: AC/DC.

I'm torn here: Should I be disappointed about the exclusive deal with Wal-Mart, or cheering for EA (first time for everything) for effectively giving EB/Lamestop the middle finger?
