Yeah, it turns out I'll need a root canal on this touchy tooth after all, I'll get to have that next week. I'm thinking about one more incident like this and I'm just going to have 'em all yoinked and live on pudding.

The Windows Aero Flip feature is ONLY useful if you have a mouse with extra buttons and configure one to bring up the flipper.

Most people I know can read words, like the ones floating above the box where you post your comments. Im sorry if you cant see them, perhaps you should get a bigger helmet.

Who pissed in your cheerios this morning? Did you just roll out of bed and decide you were gonna be an asshole?
What exactly in my first post caused you to be so damned defensive?

Nothing in your post indicated a reference, to anything. It's the Out of the Blue section...meaning your post could easily have nothing to do with the stories above.

So maybe stop sucking on your moms tits for 5 seconds to act like an educated human being and make references in your posts like everyone else does. We learn to make references to what we speak of...in what, kindergarden? Did you miss that day? Dickhead.

Desktop-Right_Click\Personalize\Windows Color and Appearance\[Open Classic Appearance properties for more color options] (this is a text button on the bottom)

Make sure Windows Aero is selected, and not Windows Vista Basic.

OK this worked, thanks.

Odd that if you have the Aero Theme selected in the "Theme" options it doesn't have this on by default. When you change the above and go check the Theme settings, it's now a Custom Theme....makes no sense...but hey its Windows.

As for customizing the button on the toolbar for Windows Explorer, I havent found a way yet...

Oi...while searching for info on how to edit Windows Explorer I realized 2 things...what I wanted was already there. a) There is a refresh button between the Address bar and the Search bar. b) At the left end of the Address bar you can click on the folder icon and it displays an editable path.

Well that would assume one has read the above article and could connect your post with that. You made no reference to it...so how would one know this? Most people I know don't read minds.

No mention of Witcher content today?

I do have Home Premium. I do know for sure Windows Aero Them is selected, as that was the first thing I checked.

I'll have a look at the other settings when I get home.

Which reminds me I didnt respond to someones question about customizing the WE toolbar...friends came over yesterday as soon as I got home and we played NHL 09 for a few hours

Dagok:

You have to make sure you have all the fancy graphics options enabled.

Desktop-Right_Click\Personalize\Windows Color and Appearance\[Open Classic Appearance properties for more color options] (this is a text button on the bottom)

Make sure Windows Aero is selected, and not Windows Vista Basic.

Note, Aero is not in Home Basic, only in Home Premium or more expensive.

I dont think you followed what I was saying Blue. When I currently do this, or use the button in the Quick Launch bar, it acts the same as XP, rectangle box with program icons to flip through. I do not get the 3d interface.

Oh, okay, you said Alt + Tab so I thought you were using the wrong keys... dunno what you need to reconfigure to make this work then.

I guess it being dated to 150 to 100 BC doesn't make it special?

i was talking about the clock in the above post.. you see up there? the out of the blue section? The Stephen Hawking clock?

and juxtaposing it with another mechanism from about 2000 years ago

dont worry about keeping up, i'll carry your dumb ass - im experienced in such matters

we are so fucking smart! we built a clock!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antikythera_mechanism

The mechanism is the oldest known complex scientific calculator. It contains many gears, and is regarded essentially as an analog computer. It appears to be constructed upon theories of astronomy and mathematics developed by Greek astronomers and it is estimated that it was made around 150 to 100 BC. The circumstances under which it came to be on the cargo ship are unclear. The ship is estimated to have sunk between 80 to 60 BC and was a Roman or Greek ship with cargo for Rome, perhaps part of official loot. It contained more than 100 statues similar to the ones the Romans took to Italy after their conquest of Greece. Consensus among scholars is that the mechanism itself was made in Greece.[6] All the instructions of the mechanism are written in Greek.

The device is remarkable for the level of miniaturization and for the complexity of its parts, which is comparable to that of 18th century clocks. It has over 30 gears, although Michael Wright (see below) has suggested as many as 72 gears, with teeth formed through equilateral triangles. When a date was entered via a crank (now lost), the mechanism calculated the position of the Sun, Moon, or other astronomical information such as the location of other planets. It is possible that the mechanism is based on heliocentric principles, rather than the then-dominant geocentric view espoused by Aristotle and others. The heliocentric view proposed by Aristarchus of Samos (310 BC - c. 230 BC) did not receive widespread recognition, but provides for the possibility of the existence of such a system at this time.

Seeing as you can have synthetic teeth implanted now, why not go crazy and get a mouth full of fangs or something?

7. Vista questions Sep 16, 2008, 12:21 Krovven

So yesterday I mentioned that I was trying out Vista...so far so good.

For those in the know...I do have a couple questions.

In preview videos for Vista I saw an interface that had the Taskbar functioning as it does on a Mac, and also when Alt-Tabbing it had the windows in a carousel with a graphic of the window at an angle.

Currently my system acts the Classic way with both interface functions. Where in Vista are the settings to change this?

I used to love the chocolate pudding my grandmother (and subsequently, mother) made from scratch...

Still have all my teeth, though! Aside from my wisdom teeth, that is.

In any case, good luck with this iteration of Dr. Toothy, Blue!
