Out of the Blue

Tackle footballl is back, as today is opening day for most of the NFL. This is why Thursday games like the Giants played this week bug me, by Sunday it already feels like your team has the week off. Of course it was pretty sweet having sole possession of the best record in the entire league, even if that only lasted three days.

Bah you guys.

We had our annual backyard luau today instead of Saturday (yesterday) as it was raining. And I have to say, it was a freaking blast. I'm a little warm and toasty from downing a couple beers, but yeah.... everything went smashingly well, from the volcano pumping out streamers to the palm trees, to the new location of our tiki bar on the extended patio.... much better than any football coverage!

*ducks and runs*

And to Enahs: Thanks!

Now I wonder how often I'll see it.

All season.

The cause of all these evils was the lust for power arising from greed and ambition; and from these passions proceeded the violence of parties once engaged in contention.

And my beloved Seahawks totally sucked big schweaty balls today.

They sure did.

To tell you the truth, I picked against them in my football pool this week, mainly because I didn't think there was any way Hasselbeck, who basically missed the pre-season, would be sharp throwing to backup receivers. Plus the fact that we usually suck on the east coast.

What I didn't expect was seeing our offensive line pushed around like a toy shopping cart. While I think the Bills might be better than many people think, they're not that good.

This makes me very worried. Good thing we're in a crappy division.

How do these NFL coaches get jobs? Carolina - San Diego. Carolina is at the SD 19 yard line with 2 seconds left in the fourth, needing a TD to win. No timeouts left.

So what does Brilliant Norv Turner do? Drop 8 into the end zone?

Why no, he blitzes four, ofcourse. Leaving every Carolina receiver with single coverage in the end zone. Which leads to a touchdown.

Absolute brilliance... So much for SD being the team to beat this year.

As for Brady, that sure looked bad. It wouldn't surprise me if he's torn some ligaments in that knee, which would mean he'd be out for the season.

And ofcourse, the pathetic KC Chiefs STILL can't win.

As a Patriots fan, if you'd told me that the first TD I'd see this season would be Cassel to Moss, I would've laughed myself silly.

Now I wonder how often I'll see it.

As a (former)Vikings fan; You won't see it enough. Randy Moss plays the way Randy Moss wants Randy Moss to play. If he doesn't get a TD the next game or enough passes thrown at him he'll pull a TO or Dion and play like shit for the next 4 games.

Thank god it's football season again. I look forward to my Cowboys getting their revenge on Blue's iffy fall-backwards into-the superbowl Giants team.

Although they played an incredible superbowl game. Bastards.
