erm.. didnt they kind of butcher the pc port of halo and then blame the fans? halo is a dumbed down, simple fps for consoles and they couldn't even get that right?
There was a video driver bug when it first came out that Pitchford & Gearbox had overlooked despite a lot of bitching from customers. He later apologized.
Having said that Halo PC runs smooth as silk. They had to implement net code from the ground up as well as very good mouse and keyboard support for a game that was never meant to have it.
contrast that with the absolute BUTCHERING bungie//MS did with Halo 2 PC. Mouse support was via some shitty hack which made you feel like you were using a mouse emulator along with crappy graphical performance, bad network performance, the requiring of Vista and use of Live! PC which wasn't ready for prime time. It is easily the worst console-to-PC port I have ever had the displeasure of playing. |
