Our coffee grinder went tango uniform this morning, harkening back to the days when it seemed like we'd go through one every few days. I've previously complemented the model we were using for its durability, and this doesn't really change that opinion, as the grinder lasted about four years (I'm sure our record in the other direction is closer to four days). The bad news is this seems to be a discontinued model, and the new high-end Kitchen Aid model costs around twice as much as the old one (which itself seemed expensive). The good news is this one seems to address the main shortcoming of the now-deceased one, as it looks like it will contain the grounds better (the old one tended to spray them all over), and it carries a two-year warranty, so it will probably be our choice as a replacement.
