How about you read that laundry list I posted in post 14 and refute any of that?
You used that list as a reference as to what things weren't fixed in Vista since release, but it's a list of things that changed or were obsoleted with the new OS.
Things like Active Desktop that aren't there, ignoring that a new app replaced it in Ultimate. It's not even an issue, I can't see anyone seriously saying they won't buy Vista because of it, but that laundry list is supposed to be reasons why Vista sucks?
Because you don't have NetBEUI support now, or AppleTalk? 16-bit application changes that were mandatory for security reasons? Because you can't run 10+ year old DOS apps in full screen mode in Vista?
Killdozer has a great argument for why not to upgrade (post #27). If you don't need it, don't bother. If your computer can't use it, don't bother.
If you have a decent computer, though, and the cost isn't an off-putting factor, Vista is better than XP. I have to run a combination for my job, with XP on my main desktop at work and Vista at home, and I find myself looking for a lot of features in Vista when I have to use my XP system. It's less problematic, less prone to reboots and memory issues, and the UI is improved dramatically once you get used to it.
