| Definitely not just BF2 with quake speed. Different mission structure. I experienced way more strategic gameplay in QW than in on of the Battlefields. Focusing the action in tiered missions really won me over but to each his own. |

As far as I knew, UT series never counted bots on Gamespy. ETQW had screwed up numbers on GameSpy for a while. Overall, GS' numbers aren't that reliable-- for some games it only tracks players on GameSpy masters. There were a couple of sites that tracked player numbers, IIRC you're better off making a judgment between 2 or 3 points.

Also, I'm pretty surprised at how low the numbers are for Quake Wars.
Not here....just BF2 with Quake characters sped up....just couldn't get into it. I think for a lot of people that were really hoping for a GREAT game were really let down by the outcome.

I tested the 1.5 beta and it has proper widescreen. The correct reference is HOR+. Bioshock had VERT-.

Wow just look at that bad UT3 numbers!
I think UT3, unlike UT2k4 and UT, no longer counts bots as part of the player base.
Also, I'm pretty surprised at how low the numbers are for Quake Wars. |

Wow, looking at those numbers, no wonder why >U/Riley is always so pissed at Valve. They have over 240x the number of players as his game (FEAR) does. 240 times!! I'd add the NOLF series, but it looks like FlatOut2 and Flight Simulator 2006 beat it out for the top 40 spots.
He's too busy writing screeds about Valve's evilness to make compelling games that stand the test of time.

zirik the server disconnect issue is not related to the 2142 client or server exactly, but instead it seems to be a master server issue. Would be nice though if they changed the master server protocols to be more relaxed and not disconnect people in-game.
