Spellbound certainly has skillz and it's not their fault the publisher stole the Gothic IP, but I just don't see how this can do justice to the IP. Gothic is one of the few IP's which has been linked directly with each previous edition and now they are jumping out 10 years?
They say the coming expansion for G3 by Spellbound will help link G3 and G4, I don't see doing a franchise while the original creators are still alive/together, maybe if the company had been disbanded some how. I certainly don't want Spellbound to fail but it's hard to want the publisher to succeed at stealing such a unique internationally beloved franchise. |
