Yeah but this is possibly just the first move, what if they fire everyone else? But why would they buy SCI/EIDOS then sack the people who do the actual work? They're the sort of people who get absorbed/integrated/assimilated, like EA did with all the talent they bought out.

PR, Marketing, and Sales are worthless in any case. I like seeing those groups go. They didn't lay off any developers, they layed off excess employees that deal with the media. Makes sense.
