Infogrames to Adopt Atari Name?

Gardner to consider ditching Infogrames name quotes David Gardner of Infogrames as saying the company may adopt the Atari name as its moniker. Here is the logic that says that the devalued Atari brand may still be preferable over the lesser-known Infogrames, which he refers to as "a start-up with 25 years of history":

We like to think of Infogrames, instead of being the tired, old company, we like to think of it as the best-funded, best-branded, most energetic start-up in the history of computer gaming.

Can anyone else find what thread that was originall posted in?
I can't. It almost seems relevant for the conversation in this topic, but we all know he's never said anything on his own volition, only parrotted out what others already have.

Fault finding is a common ego boosting practice. You put yourself in a position of superiority, in this case, to people that do not share the same opinion as yourself. However, no one here shares you opinions because the rest of us have an IQ above that of a banana slug. Enjoy your repetitive postings and your overall mediocrity

Infogrames is pretty well known for releasing terrible licensed games (and quite a few bad games that aren't licensed either.) I always saw "Infogrames" as a warning that a game is very likely to be terrible.

just a little shithead on his Dell.
On his dad's Dell - he only trolls here because the internet filter won't let him browse porn. I'm assuming there is also some child abuse involved here.

Didn't Hasbro Interactive buy Atari, renamed it to Hasbro Interactive, then went back to the Atari name?

Personally name wise, I'd stick with Infogrames, cause I have have alot more memories of playing their games on my PC then Atari's.

I dont know why people are rooting for the death of Infogrames or Atari or whatever they are called now?
I mean they published some pretty cool games in the past.
Wtf you guys really want EA, Microsoft and Activision to be the ONLY game publishers left in the market? You think that would be great?

The Infogrames brand dates back from the beginning of the 80's. While it is not as old as the Atari brand which (I think) was created at the beginning of the 70's, it's still an important part of the home computer history.
I would be a bit sad to see it go just for marketing purposes, but I guess that's how the world goes nowadays.

Infogrames was the better brand but they just didn't seem to release enough games. I'll never forget Shadow Of The Comet, looking through a little box with a maginfiying glass in the front in order to read the star constellation used as copy protection. Amazing atmosphere and eeire music. Nor will I forget the armadillo logo.

Still, Atari is the brand I recognise most nowadays. This move is common sense, though I thought it was already a done deal.

Does Blue's forum system just not have a ban function? I'm asking seriously because while he keeps getting his posts removed, he's still here.
