1) DRM, god its getting savage with PC games. Copy protection, limited installs, CD checks, online registration. Its enough to drive this hardcore PC gamer to consoles.
If PC games weren't so ungodly easy to steal, far far easier then they were just 5 years ago, we wouldn't be dealing with that crap. People need to stop stealing games via torrent. But seriously, it takes a bit more work, but it's almost as easy to steal a console game.
2) Games going console only. Some great games are coming out on consoles and the ones that do come out on both platforms usually come out on PC MONTHS later.
Great games console only? Name one that most PC gamers remotely care about? The next craptastic eastern RPG with 1/2 hour cutscenes and the same tired gameplay they used 10 years ago? Eh no thanks. The next console only FPS? Thanks but I'll skip Halo 4 and GoW 2. They both sucked anyway compared to even a decent PC shooter.
3) HORIBLE PC ports. Like I said in point 2 when games finally do come to PC the port is sub par, usually the controls. Even if your a die hard PC gamer and wait for the PC version to come out if the controls suck it drives you to just buy it on a console.
Lol I'd rather play a bad port (though I generaly skip ports as a whole) then a console game with a sucky ass controller.
4) The amazing running joke of developers saying "we are keeping PC users in mind" when they develop a game. When it comes out PC users are jipped like crazy. Shit controls, poor performance, **HORABALLY, SERIES DESTROYING, DUMBED DOWN GAMEPLAY**.
Lol it's that horrably series destroying dumbed down gameplay you get on CONSOLES. It's CONSOLE games that are this way. PC gaming still has some great complex games come out each year. But it's not PCs that are dumbing down, it's consoles.
I fail to see how this argument gives merit to going Console over PC when 3/4 reasons you state are symptoms of console-itus in the first place.
