It was nine years ago today that the MPlayer Daikatana deathmatch demo was released. I didn't dig the game so much, but I recall the demo being pretty fun. ION Storm is dead, as is MPlayer, but the demo and a patch that allows it to be played without MPlayer can be found via the keepers of the flame at Planet Daikatana, though of course, finding opponents might be tricky at this point.
