You are assuming the writer is actually a kid. For all we know, he could be 40.

Sure needs a bit of work and stuff but damn no need to bash the kid. He is trying and will likely come along with a bit of work. Plus the guy is a fan of blue's and thats really all any of us are.

The best players know they will die eventually. Even, superhero’s can’t win all the time. That been said, if you work on minimizing bad habits in your game, you will be on track to going from a good player, to an exceptional one.

Really a gem. How old is this boy, twelve?

That's actually a pretty sweet site.

It's nice that he does it in a blog format too. For anyone who's tried writing something like this it's hard to do with text alone and doesn't lend well to guide-style format.

I wish I could just record a whole mess of demos and annotate them but that a fuck ton of work.

Not exactly. Tribes has a whole set of fundamentals that differ from all other shooters. Being great at CS or Quake won't make you great at Tribes.

Besides, his blog revolves entirely around CS and has such amazing wisdom as "Do not reload your weapon when enemies are nearby" and "Lock your pet in another room while you are playing a match."

i dont know... those 2 you listed are essentially what fps has been based off of for the past decade in one way or another. to master the "essentials" means to master everything under their wings. what im saying is there are certain practices that will work on all fps games... doesnt mean the dude describing them has to have played them all.

So, the writer of this blog has only played Quake (1) and CS? Not exactly worthy of the title of FPS GOD. He should be a master of all the Quakes, UTs, Tribes, CS, OPF and every shooter ever.
