Christ please no. The only reason why sims2 is still in our chart at work is because EA pay our company a stupid amount of money to put it there. I sell what, maybe one a week if im lucky - seriously, no need for a sims 3 after bringing out 6 trillion expansion packs. what the hell is left to do.

I know its not trendy among the hardcore, but the game clearly makes a lot of people happy.
American Idol and Jackass also make a lot of people happy. That doesn't make them any less retarded.

I own the Sims and Sims 2 but I don't have any of the expansion packs. They're fun games for a few weeks until you realize that they are a job. Just like MMO's.

how is this different from world of warcraft? the players of that game pay for an expansion effectively every 3 months, although the difference is, they don't get as much new content for their money, and no option to stick with the game as is, for no extra cash.
The sims is a very popular game, more popular than COD 4 or Crysis or Bioshock. I know its not trendy among the hardcore, but the game clearly makes a lot of people happy. |

Finally! The dozens of expansion packs for Sims 2 just weren't enough for me. I hope this sequel simulates drainage failures so my toilet can overflow and force my Sim to call a plumber to come in and fix it at exorbitant costs.
