Happy Chinese New Year! It is now the Year of the Rat, and in a grand tradition I am compelled to point out that I fear I will continue writing Year of the Pig on my checks for another couple of weeks. Badoom-bah!

Schweet - although I don't agree with the $ spent on the program, one of the most awe inspiring things I was able to witness in person was a shuttle launch. Amazing.

I think we should be spending more money on it. Sure the shuttle is not the safest and most efficient way of flying to space, at least we currently have an active manned space program. I wish the public would care more about it though. I'm too young to remember Apollo (born 13 months after the last moon landing) so I can hardly imagine the excitement there was back then for spaceflight.
