*shrug*

Yeah, I don't like Moss either, but the Dolphins have been under my skin for years, with their annual champagne parties. I think they played 5 teams with a winning record in their regular season that year. You can dislike the Pats for being arrogant if you want, that's your right. But they have nothing on the arrogance of the Dolphins.

The '72 Dolphins remind me of The Beatles. Both are WAY overrated.

I don't give 2 shits about the Dolphins - I am happy to see Moss lose.

There are veterans on the Pats though that I would have been happy to see get a win.....but I will forgo those feelings for the sake of a PATS defeat.

I didn't even care which team won towards the end, either watch history as a team goes 19-0, or watch an underdog hardly anybody thought had a chance pull out the biggest upset in decades to win it all.

I was about the same. Thought the Pats would pull out another close one and thought it would be nice to see "history", but kinda wanted the Giants pull it out as the underdog.

Can someone explain something to me? What happened since 4 weeks ago? All of a sudden the Pats offensive line was being destroyed by the Giants defensive line. Did they get people back? Did the Pats lose O-lineman since then? The Giant D-line should have gotten the MVP.

The Pats did lose a linesman during the first half...don't recall which one however.

Didn't the Giants have a DB return to duty between the first and second time they played? The combination of a better pass rush along with a returning DB could turn the trick.

I agree with you on the Dolphins...ugh.

I'm a Dallas fan, not a Patriots, but ...

"Cheaters never win." WAFJ. If you've been paying attention at all you would know this was simply a case of "everyone is doing it but we got caught."

Congrats to the Giants on the great win. I am however greatly disappointed. This means Mercury Morris, Don Shula and the rest of the losers from the '72 Dolphins will keep talking shit like they have for the past 36 years. Belichick is nowhere close to being as much of an ass as the '72 Dolphins. Not even close.

Awesome, I wasn't rooting so much for the Giants to win (though as a Packers fan, it feels better to have lost to the team that won the SB) as I was for Belicheat and the Pats to lose in a good game.

Excellent game, lotta fun to watch; even with no scoring in the middle quarters; it was clear that Giants were able to move the ball while the pats almost looked confused by their own playbook. I am so surprised the Giants never got burned by a big play blitzing/rushing the QB as much as they did - really shows the secondary stepped up. And the dropoff of the Pats rushing game - it's like someone actually watch the film on the Pats, who always start increasing their run ratio in the last part of the season and the playoffs...

Lotta fun to watch, last minute or so really reminded me of the energy in Superbowl 34...

44. An expected close game Feb 4, 2008, 07:24 Bronco

Since the Brady era began they have won their 3 by 3 points and lost 1 by 3. They are always close games when the Pats are in the Superbowl - never a blow out.

Belichick has ALWAYS been an ass - forever - and always will be. He ran to Coughlin, said something and ran off - no big surprise there.

Brady...he looked lost. He actually had to make progression reads...sure looked like he had never seen what the Giants were doing to him...very interesting.

Makes me sick to say it but grats to the Giants.

41. One of the Best SB I can remember Feb 4, 2008, 00:52 Golem

It may have been a slow and hard fought game until the last third or so but it was a great game none the less. There doesn't have to be a lot of scoring to make the game enjoyable to watch.

Just watching the Giants putting the pressure on Brady for 90% of the game was excitement enough. And that push by the Giants for the TD in the last minute of the game was awesome to watch.

That second sack he avoid was simply amazing but then to throw a huge pass down field for the completion was over the top.

I was rooting for the Giants from the start (I usually go for the underdogs) so when they came back to win and scored me $125 for the last quarter score in one of the pools I was in... well it made it that much nicer.

I don't know any of the past drama with the Patriots or their coach but even I thought he was an ass for leaving before the official end of the game. Though he probably didn't realize because of the excitement generated by the Giants sideline.

I did feel a slight bit of remorse for the Patriots after going 18-0 to loose it all in the last minute of the game.

I think the Giants' defense won that one, they gave very little to the patriots' offense, while the Giant's offense was busy making turns overs most of the game. That catch by Tyree from Manning, who'd by some miracle scrambled out of what should have been a sack, was just amazing. I'd say it was the nail in the coffin, and will probably be a favorite in the best plays of the Super Bowl clips shows for years to come.

The Giants earned that one, Belichek can cry himself an entire ocean and nothing will change that.

I wouldn't say it was a great game by any stretch. Not bad, but no barn burner. The 4th quarter certainly rocked though. That 1 sack that Eli escaped was awesome, and that catch Tyree made was positively incredible. I'm happy for the Giants and their fans, though we all know that should have been the Packers that won.

And as I've always said, Belichek is a classless dick and I'm glad he lost.

Man I have to admit, I thought it was over when the score was 14 to 10.

Belichick did you see how fast he ran off the field!

Press to Brady - Why did you lose? Do you now feel like failure?

Press to Belichick - Where the hell is Belichick? Where'd who go? Latest word is he's running!

(Bill was just interviewed - what an ass).

I agree, that man has no class whatsoever. He is a sore winner and a sore loser. I'm glad the Giants are celebrating this win and not vice versa.

That was one of the best Super Bowls I've watched in years and years. Glued to the television until the last play, usually it's over at halftime. I didn't even care which team won towards the end, either watch history as a team goes 19-0, or watch an underdog hardly anybody thought had a chance pull out the biggest upset in decades to win it all. Awesome.

I wonder if Belichick is second guessing himself yet

F him in the A.

What a prick.
They believed the hype and the media and everything else.
They forgot that they still had a game to play.

Ass left the field before the game was over.
Shows you what he is really like.

Like someone else said, "cheaters never win" thank god they didn't win, it always would have had that little * by their record with a note that said, "was caught cheating and fined".

I am overly happy that the Giants won.
Congrats to them, their fans, and for the sake of the NFL.

Giants were a better team tonight, Manning stepped up, and although looked shaky at times, I respect him for how hard he played. When he broke loose from that almost sack at the end of game and threw that ball down field (a prayer) that shows the heart of the Giants and I knew they were going to win.

(Bill was just interviewed - what an ass).

Awesome - just awesome. Now maybe all the Pats fans will STFU.

have to give Manning credit for scrambling to avoid the sacks on that last series. I love the comeback victories!

Wow. Just wow. I am a long-time Giants fan, and I 've seen them throw too many games away to think they had any chance in this one.

What is really amazing is how effectively they shut down what stats-wise is the best offensive football team in history. (The Montana '49ers were actually better ,but still...)

What a great game. Even my wife, who hates sports, was cheering when the Giants got the final score!

Hell of a game! Congrats to the Giants and all their fans. I was sure rooting hard for them to win.

I wonder if Belichick is second guessing himself yet about going for it on fourth down instead of trying the 49 yard field goal in the first half. I sure know the fans and press will be shortly!

I knew the Pats were in trouble when they showed Brady's famous girlfriend watching from the skybox... didn't Romo and Jessica Simpson teach them anything?
