So, in other words, you're woefully uninformed, but you felt it necessary to share your opinion with us anyways.

What I should have said was this was the only movie of Del Toto which liked. Pans Labyrinth, was decent enough on the special effects side but the plot was poor. Even though the little girl didn't complete the tasks set out for her she was still accepted in the end. Blade 2, also not great - but of course I didn't care for Blade 1 either.

Bodolza, I read your comments and immediately thought your criticizing me for offering my opinion of what I'd consider an inferior director to Peter Jackson and a fear of a reduced quality Hobbit shows considerable immaturity. The trolling on this site is out of hand.

I'm troubled by the choice of Del Toro. The only thing I've seen of his is Hellboy, which I feel is a really cool movie. But it is what it is, and what it's not is reflecting the brilliance shown in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Honeslty I'm nervous that we're going to see what happened to Star Wars, the best SciFi trilogy reduced to crap.

Thank you for posting that Jim.

I'll second that.

Like many, I will never forget sitting in my classroom watching that happen in real time, my home room teacher so proud that a fellow teacher was heading into space.

I can still see her tears and the look of loss on her face as that second streamer of smoke drifted away from the main portion of the wreckage.

A sad day indeed.

Two films are needed for the one book that was the Hobbit. I recall reading the book and I don't remeber it Having THAT much content.

The first film will be The Hobbit. The second will bridge the gap between Hobbit and LOTR, using Tolkien's other writings...

At least, that's what they've been saying...course none of this can happen until the writer's strike is over, and there's still the looming actor's strike.

If they don't get these in the bag before Ian McKellen kills over, I'm gonna be pissed...
