You can get 3gb working in Windows XP 32 by editing the Boot.ini, right? I don't know if 4gb will work though.
Actually my problem is I get 3GB fine but 4GB doesn't show up.
On my MacBook Pro this is no big deal since I'm rarely in Windows (just for the occasional game) and OS X recognizes all 4 correctly.
On my other machine it's no big deal either, thus it's still a bummer.
So if 4GB is recognized as 3GB, wouldn't 3GB also be recognized as 3GB? |

Use Boot.ini C.U. for that. http://www.dx21.com/SOFTWARE/Dx21/ViewItem.ASP?NTI=2&SI=2&OID=14
WARNING If you mess up your boot.ini you cannot boot Windows any longer, do the following only if you understand what you are doing!
a) deactive write-protection of your boot.ini and make a backup of your boot.ini b) load the boot.ini with boot.ini c.u. c) activate checkbox 3GB d) activate checkbox USERVA -> 2800 is a good value for 2GB systems (How to use the /userva switch with the /3GB switch to tune the User-mode space to a value between 2 GB and 3 GB) e) save boot.ini f) restart computer

For anyone that wanted to know, my Vista 64 install has gone off without a hitch. I just finished the whole update/drivers deal, and now I'm going to defrag and get Bioshock installed.
I'm not going to be able to comment on 32bit vs 64bit gaming performance, as this sytem now has the 8800GT and the full 4GB of RAM being utilized. However, I will say that things do load faster and the system just feels quicker overall.
Screw sleep. Bioshock!

In regards to the programs to shrink dual layered discs, I didn't know it was possible, can this work for game Dvds? If so these same freeware programs or others?
Apologizes about the newb question.
Thanks. |

But looking at Enahs' plant picture he posted, I don't see how that aerogrow (I just looked at the site briefly) would be big enough!? The light at the top is expandable, to make it larger for larger produce.
The problem with it is, that it is expensive, and you have to buy their own expensive plants designed to work with it. You are limited to what they have; you can not try any local variety of various things for instance.
I do not think the aerogrow would be good for most peppers, simply because they grow tall and straight. Now, not all peppers plants are like that (i.e. the tabasco plant Bats is referring to when he says my picture could work in a aerogrow).
In-fact, the only pepper plant they have for the aerogrow is a "Chili pepper". just go to aerogrow.com and click "what can I grow" and that is all you can grow. I think if it was not so expensive it would be wonderful for herbs and spices; not so much so for fruits and vegetables.
But for the price of the "chili pepper" kit you can get enough containers and good soil to grow everything the aerogrow can grow.

Check out the Aerogrow (http://www.aerogrow.com/), Blue. It'll grow anything. Check the reviews about it at Amazon. Pretty cool little dealie. I'll be getting one of these myself.

What do you use to put it to the DVD (dual layer to Single) nin? I don't, anymore...I either dump it to the drive to come back to later, or I burn it to a dual layer disc...
I think the last time I did any shrinking, I used Nero? But it's been ages (so my memory is fuzzy). Before dual layers, I used the hell of of Shrink, and stil;l keep it around. But I don't think I've tried it since I went to Pista in July/August (just installed it)...
