The Warzone 2100 Resurrection Project offers the free release of Warzone 2100, Pumpkin Studios' 20th century strategy game that's now GPL OpenSource as a result of the efforts of a group of dedicated fans, who have updated the game with OpenGL support and other nifty modern features. Mirrors of the full game for Windows, Linux, and Mac as well as a patch for owners of the original game are on FileFront and Gamer's Hell.

Where's the rest of it then. Eidos didn't release the FMV or have permission to release the FMVs. The resurrection group is currently creating new videos which will take their place.

I wish game companies would do this a lot more often. So many products that don't sell any more just sitting on a shelf waiting for fans to modify. Would love Sierra to give up the source code to Swat 3.

Hump

one of the few RTS games I've enjoyed. The graphics were pretty spiffy for its day as well.

I'm surprised no one ever did a mod of this for one of the CnC games.

If you like RTS, this one is for you. I still fire this one up occasional, I even bought it twice after loosing disc 2, sure it looks dated as hell but it's fun! I missed a lot of studying in college because of Warzone 2100.
