Fion I suggest you download the beta demo and try it. Be sure to check out vehicle CTF, too. I wasn't a big UT fan until this one. I like it. It has some nice innovative stuff like the little critter spawns you can drop on some maps which face hug opponents. There are many other little innovations like that. The sandstorm map is cool - drops visibility to hide your approach to the flag. Warfare mode is a refinement of a mode from UT2004 (I didn't like the UT2004 demo so I didn't buy it).
I have Crysis too. Crysis online is fun but buggy. Also Crysis has only two online game modes (currently). Crysis DM is great but it's only DM. Crysis' "Power Struggle" mode feels incomplete but plays. UT3 feels far more refined but certainly more arcade-like. Each has his or her own tastes for what they want. CoD4 is also fun online. Each game's demo shows the game's basic feel and is a good indicator as to what you'd like.
Btw, I like TF2 but those 15 second wait times to spawn add up. Its like I'm not able to play the game a lot because dying is so much more frequent than in BF2/2142 (where 15 seconds is not so often).
