Happy Halloween! As always we are looking forward to this evening's influx of trick-or-treaters, as this area is just nutty for this holiday. I've seen an unusual number of news pieces this year on dogs in costumes, as it seems to be an ever more popular sentiment that this is some form of animal cruelty. We are undeterred, however, as we remain convinced our pooches are fine with getting dressed up, and they always delight the children with their get-ups. This year the plan is to have Hudson the wonder dog be Wonder Woman while the Gunnar-man will play Zorro, though we may improvise on this, since Gunnar's all-black costume doesn't show up very well on his all-black coat.

Missed the article yesterday - but of the people I know, and myself, that work out, yes, exercise makes you thinner.

Now, that is obviously a small sample, but it just seems odd. Of course people will eat more if they excercise, they require additional calories. But, that also means if you chose a healthy lifestyle, that you also do not eat fast food, you routinely watch the fatty foods you intake, and you in general live a healthy lifestyle.

We try not to eat anything boxed or fast food at all.

I dunno. I think exercise is great and it isn't all that difficult. the problem is people over eat and do nothing. therefore - they are fat.

The Enrichment Center reminds you that the weighted companion cube will never threaten to stab you and, in fact, cannot speak.

Speaking of updating Portal. I just loaded it up on my Laptop and it had to download an update. No information about what was in the update do, the info page was blank.

Well if ya listen to the first commentary by Gabe in Portal he says that the game was the foundation for things to come (if I remember that correctly). Seems Portal could do very well as an episodic sorta thing.

Portal really needs a counter so that you can set personal records for things like the long jump; I did a quick trip through a level to unlock that achievement and I know I went a lot further than 300 feet.

I did mine on level 19 in "the room".

Was fun.

I'm amazed you still try. Every time he posts a picture it quickly becomes a Blue's News legend; we've probably contributed to some deep-seated fear of his by now. I wonder if he can hold a camera without having flashbacks....

He's a very private person, so if he chooses not to, that's fine.

But seeing people dress up dogs is funny!

Esp. ones we hear about all the time.
