furthermore, the solar messiah myth is not new at all, in fact the Egyptian sun god Horus shares practically all the key myth elements, as do countless other historical myth figures
the ressurection story is simply a reference to the Sun's position in the sky on the winter solstice, more exactly Dec 25th and the 3 days it remains at the lowest visible point on the horizon, then rises again
basically all the fear/hope dogma of reward/punishment is the way establishment organizations brainwash the mass of society in order to keep them more easily controlled and able to be herded like sheep - its simple that way because it ties in easily with the parental structure most people are raised in

Is it still a religious debate if you want to ask where God came from? If everything in whatever religon you follow is true then who created all of that? Who created the absolutely incomprehensible amount of space in the universe/galaxy? (And if you say God then who created him and his universe?)
If you sit and think about everything it can feel like starring into one of those mirror's that appear to go back into infinity.
And I think you'll finally ask yourself, "Why does anything exist?" If everything had to come from something, ie be created, how can anything ever exist?
And for the record I was impressed by how Crysis ran on my 4000+, 2GB of Ram, 7800GTX, XP system at medium settings. It's a bit above Far-Cry graphically but it feels like they just hit reset and said, "Let's make Far-Cry again but this time make it cooler." Maybe if I can upgrade my system in the future the game will look a lot better.

as has already been said, einstein believed in spinoza's god which has nothing to do with christianity. it's actually a joke because he knew he would be persecuted if he said he "didn't believe in anything". so before you make an ass of yourself you should check your facts. other scientists such as newton and galileo galilei were religious only because that was what they were taught from birth and christianity was the norm, as it is in america. you're talking about scientists who lives hundreds of years ago who didn't understand the universe nearly as deeply as we do now. it is so utterly stupid to say that because these old great minds were christian they MUST be right and it MUST prove the general concensus among scientists..
it does not. just look at the proportion of current day scientists who believe in god - much lower than the world average. anyway i'm not going to debate anymore with people who can't have a proper discussion. get your religion out of my bluesnews.

Back to topic...
I finally finished the single player demo! According to the saved games, it took me over two hours. WOW, BEAUTIFUL game. I hate it when I am enjoying the scenaries and boom my butt gets shot. I love how the big the island is! I love how I can knock down walls and stuff. There's a lot of people on the island. I know I can be stealthy with my suit, but I suck at it. I just like using maximum armor (nice voices when changing my suit attributes).
The game was still choppy through out the game, but it was very fun. For some reason, the game reminds me of Lost too. Love all the little details (e.g., birds, crabs, weeds, newspapers [readable], maps, sunrise). Love those crazy battles and trees start falling. :>
I am buying the game when it is released and when cheaper than its retail price. I will just save it for later when I get a hardware upgrade.  |

I find it interesting that you will latch onto one single quote by the great man, but fail to view the overall picture of what got him interested in pursuing science in the first place.
As I said before, you cannot prove God exists because Christianity must be based on faith or God's Son Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He made on the Cross would fail to save anyone ever again. It's part of the plan.
Also, I said that I don't believe in hell being an eternal punishment for unbelievers. I did not choose Christianity as a form of fire insurance; neither should anyone else. You should choose Christianity because it promises Heaven not for fear from hell.
Let's say that I'm right. Then I'll live without fear, without tears, without crime, without hate, without mishap, without boredom, without negativity for all eternity. Considering all other things, this makes Christianity the only logical choice. The reason I wouldn't choose another religion is because none of those religions have a God that is alive. All their gods are dead. Only Jesus Christ rose from the dead for our sins. Therefore, Christianity is the only rational choice.
But you're not trying to prove me wrong because you have chosen another religion; you just don't like religion. You were taught to think that way. It is popular to ridicule religious belief. Try thinking for yourself. Try reading the Bible with someone or some book to guide you when you get confused or angry, but at least try. Otherwise, you're just repeating all the other nay-sayers who haven't read the Bible either. At any rate, how does being a Christian, right or wrong, and having hope, true or misplaced, make for a bad life?
A person goes to college with the hope that on the other side of the degree s/he will get a good job that will provide financial security and a nice home and nice things. On the other hand, one could suggest that the person has wasted the best years of thier lives and they were wrong and there was no good job at the other end. Happens all the time to people. I know several people with college degrees who aren't doctors or lawyers or otherwise haven't broken the 6 figure income barrier. Others got hit by a car or a divorce, or some other thing; but the fact remains that during the time when they were at college, they lived with hope and that's a good thing.
Why try to take hope away from me?

Well it does not look as good as Far Cry, on my PC anyway. Three of my video options get defaulted to custom, water shadows and textures, so I lose out on alot of effects that I get in Far Cry at maximum settings. Methinks its probably due to my not quite fully DX9 compatible video card, an X800XL. That aside I did not even think I would be able to play this game at all, and I can run it with everything at MED (other then water,shadows,textures) and at 1680x1050. Based on the demo I will definitely get this one, it will be enjoyable even without all the eye candy, but I sure wish I could play it at MAX 
I dont see the suit as a gimmick, it is an integral part of the game and I think is well implemented. I see alot of replayability in the game just because of the suit. Now cutting down trees with bullets, thats a gimmick people, one that I thoroughly enjoy
