Actually, it's easier to play on mame. I could never get past the second "interrogation" scene in the arcades, but with turbo-fire I aced it easily.
It was cheating, yes...but I made it to round 6.

I actually got good at APB, way back in the day. Good meaning I got through 5 or 6 missions, I guess. Really hard game, fairly fun. Hard as hell to play on MAME, if I recall.

Nnice list of "Open World Games"....a good read.
I am very happy to see APB in there - I loved that game.
I never got all that good at it, and it sucked a ton of my quarters, but it was a hellafun game in it's day.
