And how is neutralizing a 'jerking and pulling' suspect by tasering him any better when he's probably going to be even MORE agitated afterwards? Or even the possibility that the cops miss and accidentally tase an innocent bystander?

Ok, last thing...cause talking about something when some people are either ill informed or not informed at all, we waste a bunch of time describing training and tactics.

1 person tazers, and 2 people grab his arms during those 5 seconds and hand cuff him. Works awesome.
or
1 person tazers, and that same person, sets down the tazer (not ideal) and handcuffs the person in less than 5 seconds.

Therefore, who cares if he is "agitated" when it is over, he will be cuffed.

You don't taz someone and just watch them flob around - although it is funny to see and worth a good laugh, the whole idea is to take advantage of the situation and capitalize on the person being subdued.

Unless you make contact with the person in between the probes when you go to handcuff them, you won't get a secondary shock.

Also, the guy could have been dry stunned, or drive stunned. The probes get removed (cartridge) from the tazer and the open arc is pushed up against the body. Very effective for getting compliance as the SOUND will make the hair on the back of your neck stand on end. The pucker factor is off the charts.

As far as "hitting a bystander" so what - BOTH PROBES would have had to make contact with 1 person to have any effect.
