I recently noticed the clock on my PC was a bit off, which was surprising
considering it is supposed to synchronize with a theoretically accurate time
server. A little searching the tubes revealed I was not the only one unable to
connect with either time.windows.com or time.nist.gov, as posts complaining of
similar issues can be found going back months now. One of the posts suggested
using time-a.nist.gov, which indeed works for me, but it is a bit odd that this
seems to be so widespread.
