ETQW Beta Reset

The Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Website has word that the ETQW public beta accounts reset has taken place as planned (story):

As announced a few days ago in the development blog, the accounts database for the Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Public Beta has been reset and all accounts have been deleted. You can continue playing the Public Beta - all you have to do is recreate your Public Beta account by following the five simple steps outlined in this dev blog update.

In my opinion, and I didn't play it for an extended period of time, Quake Wars is opposite of Battlefield, in that the infantry combat feels really good to me, while the vehicles don't feel all that useful. They seemed to die too quickly and their control scheme and performance is questionably polished. I may pick it up though, as I value the infantry experience more than the vehicle stuff, and that part feels pretty good, and I enjoy the deeper objectives that provide alot of variety in the gameplay. Download the beta and try it versus bots or on a lan with some friends(don't need a beta key for bots or lan). Battlefield on the other hand had pretty polished vehicles, while the infantry combat has been shit since 1942. This comment was edited on Aug 23, 20:59.

School has started back up for a lot of kids. I'm sure that number will increase tonight. And don't forget Bioshock. I've been loving ETQW to death but I haven't reregistered yet simply because I've been too busy loving Bioshock to death. This comment was edited on Aug 23, 18:30.

60,000 beta keys, new player signups (existing player re-signups) as of right now just a little over 1,000.
