If I am understanding this correctly... it sounds to me that all this does is prevent you from installing it on a bunch of PC's to "share" the game with others. You are not limited to 2 installs total. You are just limited to 2 active installs at one time.
In theory, this is correct. The problem is that in the most technically correct sense, you are not limited to 2 "active" installs, you are limited to 2 "registered" installs at a time. The difference being that securom's servers can't magically detect how many computers you actually have this installed on, they can only go by how many computers have been activated and deactivated with them.
What will invariably happen is that your computer will crash, you'll upgrade computers, you'll do a "maintenance" format, etc., but you'll forget to uninstall the game or won't even have the chance. When you then reinstall Bioshock on the very same computer, you'll use up your second activation. This is because the server can only tell that your account already has one activation (with no subsequent deactivation), and now it's requesting a second. This will quickly lead to you needing to make a phone call to securom and convincing them you're not a pirate (who of course don't have to deal with securom in the first place). Ever considered what will happen if they go out of business?
If you still think this is ok, then consider this: there is not a single game I own that I would not have run out of activations for under this method.
