Wow, thanks for telling me bout those. Megatexture technology is really going to push gaming to the next level. Not to mention unified tools for PC and the consoles. Quite amazing really. Carmack says 'maybe in Tech6 we'll release the geometry budget.' Or something similar, considering what megatextures are capable, and the sheer genius of the guy, I wouldn't put it past him.
Wish we could get some more detailed and high def videos, cause just what they show there really outdoes the UE3 engine at it's own game (that engines texture budget is a very slippery slope.) IMHO in many ways it even looks better then Crysis, though I personally think that the Crytech engine is really good at doing foilage and water, but not all that much else. We'll see in a few months when the game comes out.
Either way, PC Gaming graphics rule the day once again.
