I'm sure the planet would agree with me. If there was some way to liberate DX10 from the Vista operating system and put it on XP, the universe would celebrate!

I hope we get something to play soon from Crytek... something to test our boxes with.

Thanks to MS, though, Vista IS required for Crysis in DX10. Those unwilling to switch can still happily get along in DX9 with XP.

What Tom said..
Just wanted to pre-empt the questions/flames/comments that might arise, and I hadn't read the previous post entirely.

Vista is a very touchy subject. It's easy to see how

With Vista and a good DX10 card your comp will be ready for Crysis.

could be interpreted as

Without Vista, you're gonna be screwed!

especially if someone didn't connect it with the previous post.

Vista is NOT required.
Hmm... where did you get that impression from my post? I was just commenting on Veng3ance's mention of Vista.

The official Crysis site should also be coming quite soon now.

Currently all of the media on the EA site is old, by the way.

@Veng3ance

With Vista and a good DX10 card your comp will be ready for Crysis. I am also waiting for the game launch to upgrade my comp to Q6600/GF8800/Vista.
