Out of the Blue

The last few days we have had classic summer weather here in the northeast, with temperatures and humidity both well into the 90s. I was immersed in experiencing the delirious misery this brings when I took note of how hairy, dirty, and hot our doggies were, and in a fit of guilt, embarked on the task of washing and grooming both. In spite of all the water involved, this job did nothing but make me sweatier and more disgusting, but the payoff of the doggies being cleaner and less disgusting was worth it.

R.I.P.: Liz Claiborne Dies at 78.

Clean Links! Thanks Ant.
Stories: Japan toy makers turn air guitars into reality.
Added security after peeing incident.

Science!: Heatwaves will 'boost death rate'.
ULL retires Cajunbot. Thanks Jeff.

Image: APOD 2007 June 28 - A Visit from Atlantis. Thanks Jim.
Media: LEGO Millennium Falcon: Stop Motion Animation of Construction.
Arrested Development - Star Wars Kid.
Japanese Bicycle Drifting. Actually vaguely follows the Star Wars theme.

The draft is in a few hours - let's hope the Kings are able to get someone worthwhile....

Spencer Hawes, the former Seattle Prep star who played just one season at Washington, was chosen by the Sacramento Kings today in the NBA Draft. Spencer who?

Just returned from a business trip to New Orleans. Weather was the same there as here in Philly! I guess the air can only get so humid.

but I already find Murdoch's joke of a news sector slanted as hell.

Like the other news sectors are not slanted as hell in the other direction?

Will editors who counter the corporate culture be let go?

Maybe. If they are making him lots of money I doubt he would care if they say he kills homeless puppies and cooks them in a stew and then has sex with the stew.

I don't like this at all:

I know it's all business (IE, subscriber numbers through entertainment) anymore and it's the right of the company, but I already find Murdoch's joke of a news sector slanted as hell. Will editors who counter the corporate culture be let go?

The Sonics are in a position where even *they* can't screw it up!

BTW - - was checking out your house blog, and noticed your comment about trex. I remodeled our deck a few years ago using trex, and the stuff is just amazing. It looks the same as when I installed it.....

That is a might impressive picture from APOD.

Yeah, we've had Ron Dantowitz give us talks at least a couple of times during the past few years. During his visit last year he showed us some of this stuff and hinted that in the near future we'll likely be able to resolve rover tracks on the moon from the Apollo missions using ground-based telescopes.

Its also interesting to note that the Clay Center Observatory is not very far from here, and our weather isn't exactly that great.

You are such a tard nin. You should get a dog! My dog gets along great with my cats. It is hilarious watching cats writhe for noodles attention.
Also, the Hamsters love to come out of their cage to play with the noodle. Everybody loves the noodle! Never met an animal or person that did not love the nood!

Speaking of dogs. My mom asked me to email her some pictures of the best doggy in the world ever, Noodle.
So I took some crappy pictures with my crappy digital camera.
