It'll be 2 years after the system came to market so I wouldn't be surprised at a price cut. Hell, if they drop the core and drop the Premium to the core price I'm sure that alone would drum up sales.

If they were to cut prices even say by 50 bucks just before Halo 3's release date, with Halo 3 and GTA 4 coming out they would be doing pretty good for Xmas sales figures.

Seems reasonable. They probably want to cut prices before the supposed end of year 65nm revised 360 to try and clear stock of the current shit version.
