Command & Conquer 3 Patch

The long-promised new patch for Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is now available, updating the latest installment in this real-time strategy series to version 1.05. Four new multiplayer maps, balance tweaks, bug fixes, and more are all part of the patch, which can be downloaded automatically from within the game. There are also manual patches for the various language editions of the game on this page, where they also offer the patch notes.

For some unknown reason, installing C&C3 took me an hour. Then I patched it. And the game would not run at all. Had to uninstall and reinstall (another hour, can't figure out why). Runs fine without the patch.

A required security module cannot be activated. This program cannot be executed (7001).

Why does that knucklehead keep comming back like a damaged dog or something, wtf is up with him and the constant REMOVED posts? not that i care but i think he or she or it would get the point by now.

Oh hes one of those who when you point out something bad they go HEAD long into it without stoping without reason without a clue, Some ppl have that kind of disorder, when you catch then doing something wrong they DO IT MORE lol.

ok about that patch, does it work on a modded game? I have several mods installed for C&C3 I hope this patch dont hurt them.

EA's FTP system seems to use multiple servers to distribute the load, but there's something wonky that can happen where you can see a file, hit refresh, and it is gone, hit refresh and it's back, and so on, and so on.

It seems related to the file filtering out to the various servers, and while it seems like it should be fixable, it's been like that for years.

Too bad, just started playing this last night and I like it.

From the 1.05 notes:
Observers of multiplayer matches can no longer use hotkeys to affect spectated players' production queues.

I bet that really sucked during an online match.

AND http://www.commandandconquer.com/community/patches/default.aspx just went blank!!!!!!!!!!
