The neat thing about this game is that practically the entire thing (content) is written in some sort of script, meaning that you can mod everything. There are some nice mods out there that fix some defects (like the shots that travel 2 mph) or change the gameplay (like making it so your soldiers have a chance to die and you can hire/fire them). However, I don't think the fan base of this game is ever going to be of a size to make anything truly interesting.
