Listed as a bad thing. Wtf? Dumbfuck logic that clearly the entire world doesn't follow, as illustrated by PS3 selling like ass.
In March, the PS3 was about 1% behind in overall sales behind the 360. And it has very few games available for it. That's just North America; it's been more successful than the 360 elsewhere in the world.
Because it's aimed at people who are going to be DOWNLOADING HD content dumbfucks.
Sell a high-priced system with overpriced add-ons so that you can push movies on a subscription service.
The PS3 has a built-in Blu-Ray drive and built-in wireless for about $100 more. It's going to cost you another $300 to get those options added on to a 360 Elite... in the end, it's going to cost you $200 more than a PS3, with the only real benefit being a larger hard drive.
It's not that they couldn't include the things that really make the new features on the Elite more appealing, it's that they didn't because then they can sell the add-ons for a premium price instead. The only good reason not to set up the 360 with at least the same features as the PS3 is to sell more of their overpriced add-ons separately from the system... buy a neutered HD media center, or spend $100 more and get one with everything.
The current 10 million 360 owners are getting the shaft.
We don't have HDMI on the 360's we bought, and instead of an economical storage solution we get the choice of buying an entirely new 360 (which some will since our older ones fail so goddamn often) or shelling out $200 for the hard drive alone.
The PS3, by the way, will accomodate pretty much any external hard drive you want to hook up to it. You don't have to buy the proprietary overpriced ones like Microsoft demands.
The Elite is a rip off, plain and simple.
