As far as I can see Kotaku refused corporate pressure and kept their integrity instead of selling out.
On the flipside Sony want to turn journos into corporate whores.
Looks like kotaku's handling of this situation worked on you then.

I couldn't even be bothered to read the initial story this whole attention seeking situation spawned from The initial story isn't much of anything. In fact the feature that was leaked sounds like a Wii rip off. I wouldn't have considered the custom mii feature rumor to be all that important to black list a website over.. and that's the real story here. Sounds like some exec got pissed that their thunder was stolen before their official announcement. What a lame way for Sony to handle the situation, again. I only wish Sony carried through with their threat. The positive console news these days is with the 360 and Wii anyways.

seriously who gives a fuck? So you'd rather all news be company press releases? As far as I can see Kotaku refused corporate pressure and kept their integrity instead of selling out.
On the flipside Sony want to turn journos into corporate whores.

I love kotaku, all kinds of random info to browse through.
Sony's achievement/mii system sounds very interesting. I like the idea of decorating a little space when objects I get from playing games.
I have a hard time visualizing how this will all look after you have 100's of objects. Being able to see video and music on another person's system sounds exciting. Kudos to sony for getting a decent idea started. Can't wait to see how they implement it.
