I found a second, longer trailer for "300" the other day:
http://pdl.warnerbros.com/wbol/uk/movies/300/300_tlrf2_qt_500.mov
It shows a lot more interesting stuff, but I'm not sure I like it overall as much as the first trailer... The music placement is definitely superior in the first trailer, at least... (And, I love that bad-ass "Then we will fight in the shade." line from the first one, which doesn't show up in the second one... ;-))

No big bowls but lots of good pho and chinese places around. I love me some spicy pho and pad thai!

The amount of movies Z and I saw before our children: averaged one a week. We saw two movies in the theatre in 2006. We paid a babysitter once to go see V for Vendetta and we shared a babysitter with friends to see POTC2. We plan on catching most films on DVD, and we were doing well in the summer of 2006 before we decided to sell our house and move. We haven't successfully watched a full film at home since we moved. |

oh sweet lord.
Anyone have Big Bowl around them? http://www.bigbowl.com/ There aren't very many - but damn it is good. One of the few places where their "spicy" food is actually spicy.
The good burn.
/edit: Stopped at Game Stop on the way to pickup my to-go order at Big Bowl - place was busy. They have lots of PS3 in stock, but no Wii. The UPS man came in when I was there, I think 3-4 different people asked if there were any Revos in the boxes. ehehehehee It is always fun to see the price difference of GS and EB games compared to places like half.com and ebay. I just don't understand why people need a game so bad they pay 2-3x more than they have to. (unless it is a midnight release deal, then you never get it for cheaper)

My biggest complaint is what they are doing to the kids, not what the kids are doing to the movie experience.
There is NO reason for young children to be watching adult movies. None.
Our son (4 years old next month) has been to a couple "G" movies now (grandma has taken him twice recently when she was babysitting him). She said he enjoyed them and sat still and pretty quiet through them both.

We desperately need a good babysitter... we use my sister on occasion though, which is what we did this time. No, we would not take our kids to a movie like this. Although, come to think of it, our eldest is just about old enough to sit through a G rated movie now. ah. Just wondered. I am always interested in what parent's do to get their time away to do such things. We have 17 nephews and nieces and just shake our heads at our siblings....

but we've all been to THOSE movies before. I had one of those awhile back, and I came real close to yelling at the fucker. He had the infant who was loud, and 2 more kids in tow...the kid would get loud and he'd leave, but then 5 minutes later he was back again. And then the kid would start up...after about the 4-5 time, I was getting pissed.

Do you guys use a sitter? Nah, they're probably the ones who bring their screaming children to movies so that everyone can enjoy the beauty of their offspring.

And we saw that 300 trailer at the theater last weekend (finally got to see Casino Royale, which we both enjoyed greatly). Looks nifty, even though I know nothing of the graphic novel. Do you guys use a sitter?

Peacekeeper or world destroyer? I see irony in naming is present. Such as it may be, MAD did keep things reasonably quiet for nearly 40 years. Neither side was willing to take the chance of a full out war.
