Yeah, I played this piece of excrement, and was one of the first beta testers to boot. I'm still not buying into all the crap the PR crybabies spew about how fun the game is whenever a new patch comes out.
Here's a thought, maybe some of us are tired of supporting the patch cycle that is the BF series. 2142 was shipped so broken that it will likely be a year before it's playable. More power to you if that kind of thing is "fun" for you. It's a $20 un-finished mod masquerading as a premium title.

Yay, another post about BF2142 means more dumbasses who have never played the game complaining about it. I suppose there's no better way to spend your time than on a grand forum crusade against EA and the Battlefield franchise.

Well I personally hate EA, but I do enjoy BF2 and 2142. I don't play games just to say 'Oh yeah i've got that it's very pretty on my uber system'. I play games cause they are fun.
With BF2 and 2142 I've not had any problems, and while others do, I wish they shut the fuck up already.
Either you like the game or you don't but fer christ sake shut the fuck up about it. Isn't there a Steam thread around that needs attention?

The people that play this aren't the ones that start these little bitch threads everytime there's a post on Blues about this game...
I think the over-sensitive ones are the ones crying/bitching about a game they don't play. And crying foul every time they patch it.
I guess what I'm failing to understand is why you all bitch about a patch?

Placing all your bets on QW Enemy Territory is not a wise decision. This game is a mod, and has been delayed HOW long? I have not been impressed by the videos thus far but of course I hope it exceeds my expectations.
So far BF2 is my fav of the bunch, and 2142 made some great front end and rank/badge/gadget improvements.
Game was released in a laughable state? Hmmm, I have played it almost every night with my group of friends with minor problems. Sure we occasionally get a crash to desktop, crash back to front end, titan lag issues, etc. etc., but look at what this game DOES do right. It really is amazing.
BF2 I think is in a very good state, what are the huge problems preventing people from playing at this time for BF2? Last time I played it was fun as hell.
Id say the engine is done, not being able to crush things in a tank, apc or walker is a joke. Definitely worth my money and time and I look forward to the competition Crysis and QW:ET. We shall see.
In game advertisement "Hero: Get the new Intel Dual Core"....in the year 2142? Really fits.

A lot of people not playing this game are afraid that they are missing out on the fun being had by the people that play it.
Then they go on forums and complain about bugs and stuff in a game they haven't played. Other people that don't play it join in and complain some more and then they can all feel a bit better together knowing that they "did the right thing" not getting this game.

ET:QW is going to have a totally different play style, much more arcade than any Battlefield game, probably more like an Unreal Tournament game, which in its next iteration will blow ET:QW out of the water.
I’m more favorable to the open sandbox mode of play than having restrictions on classes and limiting the number of players to 24. (oh my god that’s a server setting : yeah except that’s the player number cap the game is designed around)
For those holding out on that “next big game”, keep waiting, and waiting…

this is a typically cynical blues crowd that have nothing better to do than bash a game they haven't played. It's funny really... They're bitter that there is actually support for this game. And they're still patching BF2... Typical anti EA banter, bitch if they do and bitch if they don't. Cry Cry Cry. This game doesn't fix me breakfast and my mommy isn't here. --sniff sniff--

O I know... there's the one guy that will inevitably come on here and accuse me of working for EA & that I'm shelling it on you...
There's nothing wrong with liking this game. The people that come here and bitch about it don't play it... they're just bitter that they haven't got anything to play at the moment... I'm looking forward to ET:QW as much as the next guy, but this game is certainly filling that ET void. Flame Away

Oh please, it's the same promise they made about 1942 and BF2. Meanwhile, both still have tons of bugs and were dropped like hot potatoes as soon as their sequel launched. Maybe people wouldn't bitch so much if the games didn't launch in such laughable condition and if they didn't subject you to adware despite that.

As big a fan of the Battlefield series as it now stands and EA I am NOT, I'm pretty amused at all the bullshit that shows up on these patch threads. Unranked Spectator Functionality - Added spectator player slots to unranked servers. Players may join a server as a spectator. Please note that spectator players will need to exit the server and rejoin as a player in order to join a team. I dont get why this is an unranked-only feature. How people are supposed to admin this game I just dont know, every game I have been a server admin for the standard (and bloody obvious) procedure is to spectate them and base a decision on that.

As we know EA is strapped for cash, and with the high cost of game development they felt it was necessry to put in Adware.
Well, it looks like the EA bloodsuckers....errrr....EA Execs didn't hit their quarterly numbers, and as such didn't get their big Xmas bonus. So - effective immediately, and its a mandatory download, EA will now scan your PC for SSNs and bank account information, they will deduct 0.01 from your account on a daily basis. This must be done to offset the high cost of game development, and they have assured us that this info will not reveal any personal data to any third party companies. Oh and the notes are buried in a *.txt file that you must pay $1.93 to unlock and read. The $1.93 will go towards offsetting the high cost of developing patches for today's high cost games.
Also, you must pay EA $5.93 to read this post, we understand that not all of our customers enjoy reading posts about our bloodthirsty greed but we feel it is necessary to recoup the money we pay our lame ass PR people to make us look good while we fuck our customers up their ass to improve our bottom line.
Now have fun and enjoy our buggy ass game r-tards!!!!!!!!!!!
