Out of the Blue

This morning we made a trip to the store, the first of many, if history serves as any indication, in anticipation of the coming Thanksgiving holiday. We experienced a minor mishap when over a pound of loose cranberries exited their bag and ended up scattered all around the trunk. We gathered them up and they've been washed, but it was a pain in the neck finding them all, so my fear is the cranberry sauce will turn out extra good this year, and this will become part of the recipe.

You'll never pick up chicks in that car.

It's not the car that makes the man. Heh, although the hatchback might be good for delivery.

Well, I got a new car today to replace the one that caught on fire.

Bah! You'll never pick up chicks in that car. I think one of my bumpers weighs more than that thing. Jeepers, you live in a place that's warm all year round, get a muscle car! There needs to be more hot rodders on this site!

Bleh, those SOCOM: Navy SEALs commercials have shown how the stale the series has gotten. I mean, SOCOM = Special Operations Commands, a joint venture between all the services, meaning that there are other special forces besides the friggen SEALs they can play off of. You know, like maybe using the actual Special Forces?

Nissan Versa

Is that the 2-door or the 4-door?
While the 2-door looks like a sleek little tuner, the 4-door looks like Thor laid the hammer down on the top of a minivan.

Either way, at least it's not an Aztec or a Scion. Ugliest... cars... ever.

[edit] I guess there isn't a 2-door model? Google image procured this cool little ride http://paultan.org/wp-content/thumb-nissan_versa_3.jpg

But I can't seem to find anything but 4-door sedans and hatchbacks... Musta just been concept? [/edit]

Huh. That is a nice looking car. Looks *very* similar to a Honda Type-R and probably handles about the same. I've been really pushing to downsize my vehicle for years now (and did that with the Honda s2000, but you know, that's kind of a impractical car to have) but I kind of thought a Civic would be where I drew the line. Upon thinking further on it, though, like you said, the Versa's are actually pretty sizable in space given their overall size; I'd consider that one for myself. If nothing, the gas mileage would be worth it alone.

I think it's a cute little car. Plus it's prominently featured on "Heroes", my favorite new show!

and much more spacious than you'd think
It is freakin huge on the inside, relative to other cars that size.

And the price is good too. Hopefully your car karma will get better.

It was only $325 up front to up it to a 6 year 100,000 mile warranty, so I am not worried either way.

That thing look almost exactly like the Renault Megane and Scenic.

Wow, it does....though I had never heard of those before.

Butt-ugly I might add.
It really does look a lot better then the pictures Nissan has on its site, but no, it is no sports car. But I think it is good looking enough, and for the price, warranty, ride and features I could do not care what it looks like (but the blue they have is really nice, and of course I got a blue car).

Well, we were supposed to go see it tomorrow, but I don't know if that'll happen now... our 2.5 yr old (2.75 actually) woke up at ~1:30 last night puking her guts out. And continued to do so for the next few hours. Wound up going to the ER, where they gave her some Zofran, and now she "just" has a high fever (101.5), conjunctivitis (aka pink eye), and feels "yucky".

So I seriously doubt that we'll get to drop our kids off with a friend's kids and have a sitter watch them. But we'll see -- weirdly, they are the ones saying "wait and see".

Oh, but let me tell you -- Zofran is pure fucking magic in a pill. It stops nausea in minutes, and the kind they gave her is absorbed into the blood stream simply by placing it on her tongue. And it's grape flavored!

It is a 2007 Nissan Versa. The pictures do not do it justice

I think it looks pretty nice. Saw it on Amazing Race this season and it looked good, and much more spacious than you'd think (they have to fit 3 people plus camera/sound gear plus the racers' packs into the cars).

And the price is good too. Hopefully your car karma will get better.

And yes, I know, you still hate us all so very, very much.

I'm just speachless about that Gym's policy. It's amazing the kind of freaks that are out there. That guy should go to Gold's Gym though. That place is pure hard-core.

That PS3 story was the best. Those 6 nerd ass-holes got corn-holed by their own rules; just what they deserved. Reminds me of Saddam Hussein. He's getting hung by his own "death by hanging" policy. BAHAHAHA!

So I guess this must be stupid policy day.

That's the most ridiculous gym I've ever heard of. "Lunk Alarm", "One who grunts, drop [sic] weights, or judges" I'd like to criticize their bad grammar but they have a big sign next to that that says "NO CRITICS"!

It is a 2007 Nissan Versa. The pictures do not do it justice, as it looks much better in person. It also gets decent gas mileage, is small and turns great. Ohh yeah, it was only $13,500 (list price for the new model is 15 something, but they where having specials and such, plus I have excellent credit).
