In examining our car after this morning's incident, I see that our bumper is almost completely unscathed, a stark contrast to the huge dent in the neighbor's car door. I am reminded of the old joke questioning why airplanes aren't made of the same crash surviving materials as their black boxes. We need more cars made of those bumper materials.
