This EA FTP Directory offers a playable demo for Need for Speed Carbon, allowing the chance to test drive the latest installment in the street racing series. The demo is a 650 MB download, which is mirrored on 3D Downloads, 3D Gamers, ComputerGames.ro, FileFront, FilePlanet (registration required), Gamer's Hell, and Worthplaying.

Well I enjoyed Most Wanted, and that is coming from somebody who owns every single NFS game for the PC. It's the most cinematic driving experience around: Logitech force feedback wheel, big TV, surround sound, and a bunch of friends makes for some riotous fun the likes of which I haven't seen since the first Driver. The rip-roaring Carrera GT battling scores of police SUVS while trying to hide from a helicopter and dodge spikestrips isn't something you often see outside of the movies.

And let's not forget Hot Pursuit 2... The helicopter dropped FLAMING BARRELS on you.
