Leave your fancy 3d stuff out of it. Some of us simply want to bask in glory of a good 'ol 2d series clawing back some attention.

Wait a minute, I thought Close Combat was real time, not turn-based.
You thought right, it's realtime. That was one of its strengths. One of many, in my opinion.

So they're ignoring Close Combat: First To Fight then?
Never played that, but from the reviews I read it seems like a wise decision. Thou I do not think that game had any relation to the others except in the name.
And I know fredrickson. How could I double post? How can go on after this horrible crime?

This is pretty cool. Obviously an attempt to cash in, but perhaps it'll lead to a Close Combat 6?

you can find the games out there, close combat 4 and 5 being the easiest to procure. i have 1, 2 and 3 but it took a lot of searching.
hopefully they don't screw around with the new version.
also, if you dig cc, try combat mission. another great tactical combat game.

Look forward to this one. Does anyone know if they have a collection of the first games? I realize that the rights were moved around a bit so packaging the first five games would be nearly impossible...
