I'm a refugee from VE's move to IGN a few years back I actually had to go physically type in VE's address to see if they were still around, because I don't visit IGN all that much and I hadn't heard anything out of VE for a looong time. I go back farther than that with Blue's, but I used to frequent VE more.
Heh, I more or less stopped posting at the Shack, too...keep getting banned for fighting with the mods.

Ever since I started playing Quake TF I had this as my homepage. Seems like that was in '97 sometime. It's remained my 'morning coffee' website for years and with the 'Into the Black' became my afternoon respite once I got home from work.
So by the time I finish reading most of the news postings, etc. I get in an hour of work and then go home.
I remember during the Internet crash days and wasn't sure if the site would survive. Glad to see how hard work and perserverance paid off.
Congrats on succeeding where so many have failed!

I'm a refugee from VE's move to IGN a few years back, and have been pretty much reading this site regularly since then.
Still waiting for Blue's Mailbag updates... and waiting... and waiting...
Keep up the good work, Blue! |

The daily-without-fail posts are what amaze me, Blue. You really need a vacation. Let nin run the site for a week - - it would be worth it just to see what he would do with banning privileges!
By the end, there's be under ten posters. As a final act, I'd commit seppuku by banning myself.
edit: And you can bet your ass Blue knows this, which is exactly why he's NOT going to do it...

At 6', once you wash a t-shirt once or twice, it becomes hard to stay tucked in...
I thought I was the only person with that problem. I don't have a paunch or anything (actually I'm a real small guy considering) but at 6'1" shirt lengths were always a separate factor when buying suits or uniforms. i'd have the same problem if i didn't hang dry my clothes and put them in the dryer

So, I'm probably going to repeat what people have already said but it should be said again.
Thanks to Blue and all the supporting cast for all the hard work and the good times.
This site has been *the* gaming news site for me ever since I found it, which IIRC was just a few months after the switch to its own domain. It's been my homepage and greeting everytime I open my browser for just as long.
Also, T-shirts are good. They help hide all the pasty whiteness that we gamers call skin. Look at it this way; by giving us something fashionable to cover ourselves with we not only help support the site but you do the public a great service by covering us up.
Maybe make a deal with Func mousepads and create blue mousepads with the Blue's News logo (maybe even a retro colors version)? I swear I'd buy three of those without hesitation.
Edit: 197 to -78. Final score in DEFCON. I was Europe and my friend was Russia; that's what happens when you win the naval battle without losing any carriers or subs. Granted, he's new and I should have gone easier...but hey, it was fun. And before anyone accuses me of taking the best spot territory placement was set to random.

I was under the impression they DID sell out. If they did not - I want one. The last time I got the link to work (and I had to drop part of the URL and then search for his shirts, as the direct link no longer worked) he still had a few L...
I want 2XL for the length. At 6', once you wash a t-shirt once or twice, it becomes hard to stay tucked in...

Blue always shuts up when we start asking about t-shirts...
Probably because he didn't sell all of the last ones? I was under the impression they DID sell out. If they did not - I want one.
/screw it - pretty soon I will just go get my own made.

When so many others have perished, fallen by the wayside, or 'sold out' and become a shell of their former selves, Blue's endures. You should be proud, Ace. Goddamned proud!
