Are you high Mr.Lolicon? I'm a 3d artist and this shit gets my goat. I know at least a dozen of schools here charging anywhere from 15k-40k to learn 3d that pump out 20+ grads every 2 months, and that's just in this city alone.
Epic essentially just advertised sweatshops with this. Next thing Nike will be "Our $400 pair of shoes are made by 11 year olds!" Yeah, that's real f'ing cool.
Saving money on outsourcing, not hiring new people, getting rid of your current staff slowly to sell your game at a higher price isn't good for anyone. Of course Epic isn't doing all of these, but it seems like it's the current trend in 3d and it's going to get worse.
In ten years there isn't going to be a 3d arist career in north america most likely, and if they are it's going to be a blue collar job that pays almost as much as this slave labour shite.
While I know this doesn't just happen in 3d, I obviously have vested interest in keeping it in north america because I want a god damn future for this career.
