As promised, the new patch for Battlefield 2 is now available, updating DICE's
military shooter sequel to version 1.4. The patch notes for the new version are
in the story following this one, and in addition the patch adds the promised new
Road to Jalalabaad map and new "No Vehicles" server option. There is a patch to
update version 1.3 on

What the thell is the point of the game if your constantly and randomly switching between teams (against your will) during a game?? It is especially annoying when your trying to play on the same team with your buddies.
uh, if you are in a squad, this won't happen.
ie - make sure your buddies are all in squads.

while playing the stupid game is constantly switching you between the US and the MEC team. WTF??
And dont tell me the goal is team balancing because I notice the teams are rarely uneven enough to justify this stupid annoyance.

It totally defeats the purpose of teamwork and strategy.

They havnt removed the CD check even after all this time. Please, remove this crap. I use Alcohol 120% anyway Its POINTLESS. You have at least 2 mods out and now going onto another mod and you still demand the CD check on the first version? PLease its lame.

Ok so I formatted my computer about a week ago and reinstalling BF2 today, and scince I did the Digital Download of Special Forces I have to use the downloader.
Guess what. I have to FUCKING WAIT IN LINE to download the expansion and booster packs. WTF is up with this?

Whatever the whiners say...its a great time to be a bf2 player.
There are at least 2 good mods out right now..POE2 and Project Reality which provide dozens of fun new maps and a different gameplay experience ("fallen" in poe2 is just mindbogglingly fun) and vanilla has gotten a great new map and a new game-mode. All this in a game thats out for over a year. Not too bad I would say.
