Threat level red. Scary stuff indeed. Just our luck that we have our first plane trip in the longest time coming up pretty soon. Hopefully this will all settle down quickly, obviously for more significant reasons than my own travel convenience.

What kinda scares me is how much of stuff like Ren and Stimpy, and for example Pee Wee Herman start off as very adult stuff then ends up on Saturday Morning cartoons.

Uh.. I thought Pee Wee Herman (well, the "Playhouse" show anyway) was aimed at kids? I sadly admit to having watched that in my younger days.

I actually caught it on Comedy Central, I think, or a Nick channel - an episode where he wraps Scotch tape around his head in various ways...

As to Ren&Stimpy reaching out to kids, yeah, they do go overboard. I would probably restrict my kids - if I were to have any - from watching the show until they were in their mid-teens.
