The news is reporting that our area is due to be hit this week by the heat wave that's been cooking the west coast. This is not great news, as our weather was already, as the line from Biloxi Blues put it, "Africa hot."

Great way to lose weight and watch people croak.

You only lose water weight. You burn less calories in the summer then you do in winter.

While this is true, personal experience indicates that you consume less calories in the summer as well due to an automatic response to hotter weather. This only works well when you aren't in air conditioning 24 hours a day though.
