War Rock Beta Tomorrow

The Official War Rock Website is accepting registrations for the open beta of this upcoming free-to-play MMOFPS game, saying the testing will get underway tomorrow. Word is:

Though still in Beta test, gamers can play all three game modes (Mission, Infantry and Vehicle), pick from five distinct combat specialties and tote an armory-full of guns into the frontlines while driving the combat vehicle of their choice. Depending on the game-mode selected, players can duel up close and personal in war-torn streets or take their battles to land, sea and sky. Combatant vehicles range from motorcycles and Humvees, to gunboats and Blackhawk attack-choppers.

it had this annoying bug where you and your enemy could kill eachother at the same time which was quite annoying

Why is that a bug? Sounds perfectly normal to me.

Joint Operations had 150 player maps and they never called thier game an MMO. IF the War Rock maps are 32 players max then they need to learn to name thier game, because that not MMO by a long shot, I'll give this a try as I'm very fond of class based team FPS playstyle, anyway didnt quake2 have 64 player maps?

Regarding Joint Operations though, I'll never know why it wasn't as popular as the battlefield series, yes it had this annoying bug where you and your enemy could kill eachother at the same time which was quite annoying (not sure if they ever fixed this) and it had no planes apart from helicopters (some massive ones that could carry vehichles) or maybe people got pissed off with all the snipers, but I see snipers in BF games aswell.

Beamer: Joy. Microtransactions. Pay more, be a better player...

Yeh, you can pay real money for better in-game weapons and upgrades. They've already organized the gold-farming for you.

Just out of a sense of misplaced curiousity, why is this labeled massively multiplayer? If you check out the maps page, you see a lot of 16 player maps, 24 player maps, 36 player maps... not much more. Oh, and mostly deathmatch. Blah.

I was wondering the same thing lol. What some consider massive is if they have outdoor maps. whoopee doo, outdoor maps and I still bang into a wall at the edge of the river.

I guess the chat before the game is truly massive?

Man, they’re still trying to prop up this BF2 wanna be? I tried this game awhile back, I couldn’t find the uninstall fast enough.

Free is too expensive a price to pay for this POS, your time has to be worth something.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warrock it's the Jindo 3D Engine... never heard of it.

I'll try it. It might be BF2 that works.

War Rock is a Free2PlayTM massively multiplayer online, modern tactical first person shooter (FPS) where players have the option to purchase a wide variety of gameplay enhancing items, services, and products.

Looks like its worth giving a try...not very likely I'll actually purchase features though.
